while visiting palm springs several years ago, i stayed at a travel lodge that had a rather brilliant way of not losing their towels. it was a cute little sign that most normal people would have rather stolen instead.

from The Management:
“Our towels and washcloths have a a very close relationship with one another. When one disappears, they others are very sad. Since you want drying towels instead of crying towels, please do not depress our towels and washcloths by taking one. Thank you for you for your understanding. And our towels and washcloths thank you as well.”

i find it rather difficult to muster the strength to mourn for the departed crocodile hunter.  sure, he was a devoted conservationist, to which i give him huge credit (he bought tracts of land in other countries to build wildlife parks), and inwardly, i’m sure he really loved animals.  but, he was hard for me to watch most of the time because of how brazen he was in disrespecting the animals.  it’s quite apt that he died while filiming an episode of “the oceans deadliest…”.
